I met Felix Fischer in 1999 when I was living in New York. Felix has moved to the city some years before and was already an established hair stylist. He knew 'everything' and his spacious apartment was a favourite hangout. Over the course of a quarter century, Felix has become one of the most sought-after celebrity stylists, shaping the hairstyles of women Cate Blanchet, Kate Winslet and Jennifer Lopez.

Fischer's passion and dedication to the arts began at an early age, when he was trained as a classical ballet dancer and had to commit to hard work, technique and focus on details. A subsequent knee injury and his mother's wish for him to become a hairdresser moved Felix onto a new stage. He attributes now much of his success as a hair stylist to his intense and disciplined childhood years.
