Franco photographed the intriguing going-ons for over ten years front and back stage and
portrays designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Wolfgang Joop, Christian Lacroix, Stéphane Rolland, Albert
Kriemler and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac during the preparations for the next show in their
studios.
The book exudes the energy of these fascinating moments and reflects the exciting atmosphere and the rhythm of a runway show. «Showtime» is after «Essence» (awarded with the German Photo Book Prize) Franco's second book.

Knowing how to capture a look, a gesture, a movement or an emotion with just one click
is no accident. It is Franco's incredible ability to seize the moment by trusting his instinct.

Franco has followed several important collections of mine in Paris from the first
moments of fitting until its presentation on the catwalk. The Morandi collection has written history for
Akris. And so does his visual work for us. Franco gets people in action, he makes us dream and think by an
incomparably beautiful creativity with a lot of identity. He is a remarkable talent.
Albert Kriemler
Wolfgang Joop, Wunderkind, S 2010 RTW
Franco has captured these magical moments right before and right after the big
performance, when everything seems so close, then so distant and mysterious. When I see his images now, I
know why he took them: he wanted to preserve these fleeting moments because, ultimately, only one thing
matters: beauty.

What is for me, probably, the most interesting part of Franco P Tettamanti's work is his
ability to catch instinctively the right moment of intimacy, showing, through a smile, a glance or a
movement the human side of the fashion world.

What would be fashion without image? Photography deepens fashion stories and builds
fashion history. Thank you, Franco, for your incredible contribution to both.
