* 09 July 1964, Swiss, Eyewear designer & entrepreneur
When Oprah Winfrey interviewed Meghan and Prince Harry in 2021, I was mostly intrigued by the looks of Oprah, especially her glasses. They had the most interesting shape and colour and seemed just made for her face. I found out a little bit later that those glasses were designed by a really cool Swiss guy named Sven Götti.
Sven laid out his first collection in the late nineties when he was still a young optician. Its success fuelled his uncompromising commitment to innovation in eyewear and he has gone on to win multiple design awards. From its headquarter in Wadenswil, a small tree-lined town on the shores of Lake Zurich, Götti sells today some 100'000 pairs of high-end glasses across 40 countries. And yes, the frames worn by Oprah were designed by Sven himself especially for the US television personality.
Sven lives with his wife, one daughter and one dog in Zurich.
