Martin Suter

My favourite column as a teenager was Martin Suter's weekly essay in the newspaper “Weltwoche” entitled "Business Class". Mr. Suter is a former advertising copywriter and creative director and has written almost eight hundred of these satirical columns that take managers and would-be managers for a ride. He started to fully concentrate on his writing career in 1991 and achieved his break-through with his novel "Small World" in 1997. Since then, he has published more than 20 books and has won several awards.
Together with DCM and Martin Suter, I created some promo photographs for André Schäfer’s documentary “Everything about Martin Suter. Everything but the truth”. Mr. Suter has an impeccable appearance. He is discreet, soft-spoken, gracious. When you feel closely, you can see the invisible cracks. As Leonard Cohen said, that is where the light gets in.
Martin Suter lives with his family in Zurich.
